Typus, Performance Art Festival, D- Berlin 2001 Duration 22 minutes
Description of action Endued with a short, black trackies and a white sportshirt I come barefooted into the room. In my hands I have two filled salt shakers. On the wall stands an cassette recorder. I press the start button. A recording from 1938 of the bells of the St. Katharins Chruch in Gdansk chimes a Version of the national hymn of germany. Meanwhile I stand at attention. In chronology are following different recordings of the german hymn: 1941, 1950, 1974, 1989. I dance to this music expressive and seriously. At the end I put the two empty salt shakers together on the floor. The bells of the St. Kathrins Church chimes again, I stand at attention, sweating and breathless.
