Word´s dont come easy, 2004

Description of action

Image 1 „lead us not into temptation“, Ustka

On the wall the sentence „nie wódź nas na pokuszenie“ is written from cardborad letters. On the floor a rose bloom is laying. I enter the room and with a cord string I bind the letters on my head. When all letters are bounded around my head, I turn around and place my feets there where the rose bloom is laying. Out of my trouserpocket I take 28 pencils, which I break one after another over my right knee. The pencils falls to the ground and my right foot hits exactly the rose. In a rhythm pencils breaking and my foot hits the rose bloom. At the end the rose is only a red mark. I leave the room.

Image 2 “and forgive us our depts”, Kraków

At the wall the sentence „i odpuść nam nasze winy“ is written from cardborad letters. On the floor a rose bloom is laying. With a cord string I bind the letters on my head. A bucket, filled with milk is standing in front of the wall, not far lies a bunch with red roses on the ground. I enter the place take up the roses of the ground and place myself before the wall with the sentence, wait one moment and put them back. With a cord string I bind the letters on my head. With the cardbord letters on my head I take the roses of the ground and go to the wall. I stroke the wall with the roses and increase gradually the speed, until I strike the roses with full force against the wall. Only the ripped pieces remains. I take the bucket with milk and pour the milk against the wall and leave the place.

Image 3 “give us this day our daily bread”, Bielsko-Biała

At the wall the sentence „chleba naszego powszedniego daj nam dzisiaj“ is written from cardborad letters. On the ground two large loaves of bread and a metal bowl with matches is laying. I enter the place and with a cord string I bind the letters on my head. This time I leave four letters untouched: A, M, E, N. I kneel down to the bread on the floor and holow the breads out, take off my shoes and the bread loves on as shoes. I go back to the wall, take the letter A, crush it and put it into the metal bowl. Then the letters M, E and N follow. with a match I ignite the letters. I turn back to the wall. While the letters burn, I hit my letter head against the wall. After a while I stop, and leave lurching the place.
