Context:

For the fourth time, Arti Grabowski and the KTO Teatr hosted the performance art meeting AKTOMAR in Kraków, Poland. This vibrant event, held from 21 to 23 January, gathered established artists and art students from across Poland. Over 35 performances were presented alongside panel discussions and workshops. The diverse approaches showcased during the festival highlighted the richness and significance of performance art and performance art education in the Polish cultural landscape.

Representatives from 12 Polish art universities joined forces with renowned Polish and international artists to explore the boundaries of action art, performance, audio-art, and meta-theatrical practices. The festival’s primary aim is to present and celebrate the educational achievements of art academies while fostering innovation and collaboration within the performance art community.

The performance “Bad Seeds” was the first performance presented at AKTOMAR.  In the following two days I also contributed a PAS | Performance Art Studies workshop for art students from different universities.
